Learn how to write music notation to copyright your music composition. Sell your music, edit music using Avids Sibelius software. Lessons in pro music notation Learn how to notate music and create your own charts and scores. Gain a more in depth understanding of Sibelius software.

What happens during the Avid Sibelius course
Learn to create new scores in a variety of different styles and genres, navigate the user interface, input and play back your music, work with text, key signatures, dynamics and time signatures and finally print your score for performance. 

COURSE OUTLINE
1 Opening and creating new scores
2 Navigating the Sibelius 7 “ribbon” interface
3 Note input
4 Using text, time signatures, key signatures and dynamics
5 Editing and playback
6 Printing your score

The course assumes a basic competency in reading and writing music. Once you have completed the Avid Sibelius course you will receive an industry recognised London Academy diploma is Music Notation and Composition.
 
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
 
Phil Baxter is a singer/songwriter and producer based in London. He has worked as a professional musician for the last eight years specialising in rock, pop, funk & soul and has performed at many of London's top venues: including BBC Television Centre, the O2 Arena and Ronnie Scott's Jazz club.

Phil has a degree in Popular Music Performance from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance and spent three years working as a certified Yamaha Music Schools instructor. 

Working with a variety of artists and producers including Audrey Riley (Coldplay, Muse, Foo Fighters) Jay Stapley (Roger Waters, Mike Oldfield) and Dan Cox (Tom O’Dell, Lianne La Havas). Phil Baxters latest solo release “Postcards” is currently receiving airplay from BBC Radio and he can be found moonlighting around London as the guitarist in electrosoul outfit “Elia & The Low Tears.”
